Marisa Tomei should have wrestled with her stylist, or whoever picked this dress out for her. I love the concept and design details, but I think the train is a little much. She looks more like visiting royalty than the nominee for best supporting actress.

Leading lady nominee, Meryl Streep, looked gorgeous and age-appropriate in custom Alberta Ferretti with Fred Leighton jewels and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. The neckline shows just enough skin, and the asymmetrical gathers at the waist are très flattering.
