Although I generally tend towards writing about fashion more than anything else, I do still design. With over seven years of experience sewing and nearly as many spent studying and working in the industry, my sartorial passion extends beyond the journalistic corners of the fashion world.
Since I genuinely enjoy sewing and designing for myself, I prefer to keep it as a hobby I can still love as opposed to a career, and thus a source of stress. What I don’t wear, I sell on Etsy, and what I design on paper ends up here. If you are interested in becoming a designer or curious about the design development process, these pages are here as a resource. If you are a fellow wordsmith looking for something to analyze and dissect, I welcome your critique. If you wish to manipulate and re-invent any of these images into your own vision, I’ll probably be glad to let you — just let me know. After all, there are no new ideas. There are only new ways of making them felt (Audre Lorde).
